As an important reminder, the State of South Carolina, Greenwood County, Abbeville County and the Hunter’s Creek Conditions, Covenants and Conditions ALL prohibit dogs from running freely off of your property.

THE COVENANTS SPECIFICALLY STATE THAT ANY ANIMAL  OFF ITS OWNER’S PROPERTY, IT MUST BE ON A LEASH.

If you see your neighbor’s dogs and cats off-leash and running freely, and you know the owner and feel comfortable enough to remind them of the violation, please do so.   If not, or if you see any other animals running loose or roaming through the community, depending upon your county of residence, please report the violation by calling the Greenwood County Sheriff’s Office Animal Control Officer, Deputy Joseph Brooks, at 943-8056, or the Abbeville County Sheriff’s Office Animal Control Officer, Deputy John Mundy, at 366-8451.

If, in your opinion, any menacing animal or any animal that appears to be a potential threat, please call 9-1-1 and report it as an emergency.
