Last night we conducted your Annual Members Meeting. Attached are the minutes from the meeting along with 2 financial reports that were handed out.  Let me quickly recap the highlights:

• A quorum was achieved with 274 lots being represented.
• Amended and Restated By-Laws were adopted
• Budget for 2018-2019 was approved
• Four new board members were elected. We wish to congratulate the following:
  • Jeannie Dean, Ralph Layland, Tom Pritchard and Bob Moon.

ATTENTION PARENTS!!!

As the warmer weather months usually result in an increase in outdoor activity, we would like to remind everyone of the Golf Cart Laws that must be obeyed.

South Carolina Law (56-2-105) requires that all persons who operate golf carts to have the following:

• * A valid SC Driver’s license
• * Registration Certificate
• * Proof of liability insurance

There was a recent incident involving children driving a golf cart and running into another owner’s mailbox, causing damage to the owner’s mail receptacle. Fortunately, no one involved was injured. However, this accident needs to be used as a reminder to all of us living within Hunters Creek that we need to keep our children safe, as well as our  neighbors’ property. In order to do so, we must ask that parents please restrict the use of driving a golf cart to only those who qualify to do so. All families with children and golf carts should remember the specific law that governs anyone under the legal driving age. We ask that you please take this as a serious reminder that accidents can, and do, happen involving motorized vehicles. With school being out for the Summer, the amount of traffic through the neighborhood is only going to increase. If you own a golf cart within the community, please help us maintain neighborhood safety.

The upcoming 2018 Hunters Creek Property Owner’s Association Annual Meeting will be held on June 26th, 2018 at 6pm in the Greenwood Christian School Chapel/Gymnasium. Please make plans to be in attendance. If you cannot make it on this date, please have your Proxy turned in to a fellow owner who will be in attendance, or to Town & Country’s main office via fax, email, or dropping it by. The Power Point Presentation from May 21st’s meeting with East Coast Golf is now posted in the “Golf Course & Clubhouse News” section of the website. Please review at your convenience.

The second Town Hall meeting with East Coast Golf Management will be held at the Club House on May 21st at 6 pm.  They will review their progress since the last meeting, lay out their timing plan for projects / improvements going forward, and communicate the proposed Social Membership fee for the next 3 years.  Following that, a member of the H/C BOD will address the impact of this proposed fee on the upcoming budget. The proposed budget will be voted on by all property owners at the Annual Meeting in June.
